Functions Terms & Conditions

Minimum Function Spend for exclusive use of Atrium

Minimum spend can be made of a combination of Food + Beverages + Venue Hire Fee + Equipment Hire + Staffing

  • $1,950.00 - Monday to Friday  
  • $2,350.00 - Saturday & Sunday

We are willing to consider smaller orders on certain occasions (e.g. Saturday Lunch when we have a Saturday Night function already booked).

Standard Venue Hire Fee

  • $350.00 - for first three hours.  Venue hire fee covers staff required for behind-the-bar beverage service & food preparation staff.  Also covers all required cutlery, crockery & glassware to enjoy the catering & beverages provided by Psychedeli.  
  • $110.00 - per hour fee after first three hours.  
  • Additional Equipment for Hire (including Microphones, Projectors, Screens etc) on our Tableware & Equipment Hire Page.

Weekend / Public Holiday Loading for Functions

  • 7% - Saturday on Food / Bevereages / Staff / Venue Hire
  • 20% - Sunday & Public Holidays (not available every public holiday)


  • Unless prior arrangements are made non-refundable $500.00 deposit to secure your booking.  As long as you meet the minimum spends then this will be applied directly to the final balance of your function.
  • Balance minimum 3 days before event unless prior arrangement.
  • Late pay fees apply for overdue accounts.
  • Payment available by cash, direct deposit (EFT), credit or debit card (call 02 6262 6400).  
  • Credit card / amex card fees may apply (max 30 cents).

General Terms & Conditions

  • All deposits are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.
  • A minimum of 24 hours notice is usually required for all orders, changes to orders or cancellations.  
  • Due to variations in preparation time we make no guarantees stated or implied as to exact food service times.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation of orders or reduced numbers without 3 business days notice will be charged in full, 5 business days will be charged at 50%.  

Tea & Coffee

  • We can provide barista-made tea & coffee on the night if requested in advance. 

  • This will cost an initial $100.00 but includes the first 15 Teas or coffees.

  • Any additional 4.60 per tea / coffee. 

  • Note: We need to charge this initial fee as professional café coffee machines take a long while to set-up / pack-down & we need to ensure we have the correct staff members rostered on.


  • As we are a licenced venue only drinks bought directly from Psychedeli are to be consumed on our premises.

  • We are happy to discuss sourcing a specific beer / wine / spirit for your event that we do not normally stock.  We will advise costs & arrangements before proceeding with this.

  • We are licenced to serve beverages until Midnight.


  • We are willing to allow cake or dessert from an external source to be brought in for your function.
  • Cakeage will attract a 1.00 per head fee that covers the cost of provision & our cleaning of all required cutlery, crockery & serviettes for the cake.
  • Cakeage does not include staff member(s) to cut & serve the cake.  You will need to hire a staff member at the below mentioned rates if this service is required.

Service Staff - 47.00 per staff member per hour

  • As mentioned above we supply sufficient staff for behind-the-bar beverage service & food preparation staff. 
    We have additional service staff that can be hired to, for example:
    • Take beverage orders on the Atrium floor & retrieve them from the bar.
    • Provide refills of wine & beverages during a sit-down / formal section of the function.
    • Food wait-staff to walk finger food & canapes around.
    • Food wait-staff to oversee a buffet and ensure everyone receives their fair share.

Security Guard

  • We are required to have a security guard on-site for certain types of events. 
  • If this is the case we will let you know in advance, engage a security company and pass the cost directly onto you.
  • Generally this fee is less than $200 for a full night but we will keep you fully informed.
  • If you have access or relationship with a cheaper security service we are willing to consider on a case-by-case basis.
  • Important Note: This amount does not contribute towards the minimum spend.

Set-up Fees

  • Our standard pricing includes an initial set-up of the tables & chairs in the Atrium to a standard configuration for the style of dining / event you are hosting.
  • Any additional assistance required (e.g. if you require our assistance with decorating) will be charged at our hourly rate for service staff above.
  • You are free to re-arrange the furniture in the venue.  Please ask staff if you have any questions about this.

Music / Entertainment

  • We have a stereo system that can be connected to through bluetooth or AUX cable.  The use of this system is included within the venue hire fee.
  • You are welcome to engage a band or DJ or other entertainment to perform in the venue.  Please notify us of any plans so we can ensure it will be appropriate for the space.  In general, there will be no additional fees or charges.


  • We allow the decoration of the venue to add a personal touch to the space for your function.
  • If we are not required to assist with the set-up or pack-down of your decorations there is no additional charge.
  • If you want to appoint an external decorator to come into the venue & decorate the space for you there is no additional charge.
  • If we are required to perform additional cleaning as a result of decorations you will be charged at our hourly rate for service staff listed above.
  • We will generally have staff on-site 2 hours prior to a function to allow early access for decorations.  This is subject to standard opening hours & is contingent on no-one else using the space prior to your function.
  • We will not be held responsible for any decorations or items left in the Atrium or at Psychedeli & make no guarantees as to the safety of items left unattended in either space.
  • If helium balloons are utilized and escape up into the atrium ceiling area there will be a removal fee of $75.00 as we will need to hire a ladder to remove it.


  • Standard pricing includes disposable  serviettes & serving utensils but does not include crockery or cutlery. 
  • We have non-disposable plates ($1.00 per unit), knifes & forks (1.00 per set) available for hire
  • We have disposables in high quality (for plate, knife, fork .85c per set)
  • We also have warming units (11.00 for an electric unit) that will allow an extended eating period,
  • tablecloths (10.00 per tablecloth) & glassware available for hire.

Damage to Atrium, Psychedeli or its Surroundings

  • The person who hires the venue will be held responsible for any damage to the Atrium, Psychedeli or its surroundings.  Any costs relating to damage will be passed back on to the hirer.
